You don't have to go to Mexico to experience the spirit of a Mexican fiesta! On August 25-26, Żoliborz and Mokotów hosted an incredible Mexican Weekend, sponsored by the Mexican Embassy and Casa de Mexico, the event's sponsor.
Weekend feasts are the specialty of the Breakfast Markets, which, in addition to hosting food courts set up in beautiful parks in Żoliborz and Mokotów, also organizes special themed markets related to a selected cuisine. Last weekend, we had the pleasure of enjoying Mexican cuisine.
In addition to the delicious dishes, numerous attractions were planned, such as the Spice Challenge, a competition to eat the hottest peppers. Selected participants had access to the devilishly hot Carolina Reaper pepper. There were also cooking workshops led by the Mexican Embassy's chef and De Care chefs. Participants had the opportunity to prepare fajitas, brochetas, and guacamole using Casa de Mexico products.
There were also plenty of activities for the little ones, including smashing a piñata and painting sugar skulls. At the end of the fun-filled day, participants could bid on an auction and win many interesting items, including a basket full of new items from Casa de Mexico.
