From October 7-10, 2023, a strong representation of our company participated in one of the largest and most important events in the food and beverage industry in the world, the Anuga Trade Fair, which this year took place in Cologne, Germany. Alongside nearly 8,000 exhibitors from 118 countries, De Care offered collaboration opportunities and presented its House of Asia, Casa De Mexico, and QF Quality Food brands. Visitors came from over 200 countries, and the 80% share of international visitors broke a record.
This year's Anuga trade fair was held under the theme "Sustainable Growth" and focused primarily on sustainable development and the responsible use of resources. From supply chain optimization to fair food production, FMCG experts and specialists from around the world presented an impressive diversity of approaches, highlighting the industry's clear commitment to sustainable development and readiness to address global challenges.
The fair also featured the Anuga Taste Innovation Show, considered a source of inspiration and trends for the global food industry. A total of 689 companies submitted over 2200 ideas to participate in this special event. Additionally, ten products were recognized as particularly innovative, with the top three podium finishes being:
- Sushi Rice Platter by Asian Table – This ready-to-roll, seasoned sushi rice is the size of a nori sheet. Simply defrost it in the microwave, add your ingredients, and roll it up. Producer: Asian Table Wismettac EMEA Holdings LTD, UK.
- BettaF!sh TU-NAH Can – a plant-based alternative to canned tuna. Made with seaweed and plant proteins, it is soy- and wheat-free and provides a source of protein and fiber. Produced by BettaF!sh, Germany.
- Melis Pickle Soda – an innovative carbonated drink, the first made from pickle juice. Producer: Euro Gıda San. Ve Tic. A.ş, Turkey.
