Popovers are a popular baked good, and the British, for example, enjoy them. The muffins literally pop out of their tins during baking, hence their name – popovers. They're the perfect solution for a tasty breakfast or snack.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 spoon Dijon honey mustard
  • 4 eggs
  • 1,5 cups of whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1,5 cups of flour
  • 4 tablespoons of melted and cooled butter

A METHOD OF PREPARING

  1. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees Celsius. Take 1 tablespoon of melted butter and thoroughly grease the bottom and sides of baking cups (you can also use ramekins or muffin tins).
  2. Using a whisk or a blender with the appropriate attachment, combine the eggs, milk, mustard, and salt. Mix thoroughly until combined and lightly foamy. Then add the flour and mix constantly. Add 3 tablespoons of butter and combine thoroughly. Check for lumps and a smooth, creamy consistency.
  3. Pour the batter into the pans and bake for 20 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for another 15 minutes.
  4. Quickly remove the cupcakes from the tins and gently prick the sides of the cupcake with the tip of a knife (e.g., a paring knife) to release steam.
  5. Serve warm with honey mustard.
