Pulled Jackfruit Burger with Teriyaki Sauce Fly me to the Spoon
Jackfruit is an excellent meat substitute, making it a perfect addition to veggie burgers! Flymetothespoon has prepared its own version of the burger with Japanese teriyaki sauce, which adds a unique flavor. You absolutely must try it.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 can pulled jackfruit
- 50 gr teriyaki sauce (1 sachet)
- 2 tablespoons sauce light soy
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 8 leaves of green curly lettuce
S.O.S:
- 2 tablespoons red sriracha
- 1 spoon Old French Maille mustard
- 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
A METHOD OF PREPARING
- Place the jackfruit in a strainer, rinse thoroughly under running water, and drain. In a heated pan, fry the jackfruit until golden brown, then add the teriyaki sauce and fry for about 5 minutes, allowing the fruit to absorb any excess sauce.
- Cut the rolls in half, spread with butter, and toast or grill until golden brown. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by mixing all the ingredients together.
- Assemble the burger: Spread the sauce on the bun, top with a lettuce leaf, then the fried jackfruit. Finally, add the vegetables and cover with the other half of the bun.
