Veggie burger with pulled jackfruit and satay sauce Ros Thai Thai
A veggie burger that doesn't look or taste veggie? With jackfruit, it's possible. Mix it with House of Asia's aromatic, sweet-and-spicy teriyaki sauce, and you're done.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 can Shredded Jackfruit QF
- 2 tsp House of Asia Garlic Pastes or 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ginger paste House of Asia or 1 cm peeled and chopped ginger root
- 6 tablespoons Teriyaki House of Sauce Asia
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 onion, cut into slices
- Butter for frying
SOS:
- 3 tablespoons Ros Thai Thai Satay Sauce
- 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
A METHOD OF PREPARING
- Place the jackfruit in a strainer and drain well. Then, trim off the woody ends and use a fork to shred it into stringy pieces. In a heated pan, fry the jackfruit until golden brown. Add the garlic and ginger paste and cook for 3-4 minutes. Then add the teriyaki sauce and cook for another 5 minutes, ensuring all the excess sauce is absorbed.
- Cut the rolls in half and toast them in butter until golden brown. Meanwhile, mix together the sauce ingredients.
- Spread the prepared sauce on the toasted buns, add the fried jackfruit, tomato, onion, and finally cover with the second part of the bun.
